There is a trade-off between lightweight design and comfort. A lighter wheelchair may have fewer cushioning and comfort features, while added comfort features can increase weight.
You can keep both selected. We'll recommend models that offer the best balance for your priorities.
As a general trade-off, lighter models may have fewer comfort features, while extra cushioning and equipment can add weight. Actual comfort and durability depend on the design of each model.

Daily living: If you spend long periods in your wheelchair, comfort may be your top priority. Features such as a headrest or reclining backrest may be helpful.
Transportation: A lighter wheelchair that folds compactly can be easier to lift, store and transport.
Outdoor excursions: Strong motors, durable construction, puncture-free tires and longer battery range may be especially important.
KL40 is primarily a lightweight transportation wheelchair. It is less suited to uneven ground and demanding outdoor terrain.
KL60 offers a balance of portability and outdoor use, but Sonix S80, Sonix M15X and KL80 have higher owner-rated suitability for uneven terrain.
KLANO models may maneuver in confined spaces. The lighter KL40 and KL60 may feel closer to pivot-style turns, while the larger, more durable Sonix S80, Sonix M15X and KL80 may need wider turning movements. Actual clearance depends on the model and your space.
Check the turning radius and width on each product page. Check overall width and available space before buying.
